German Shepherd Feeding
An important part of taking care of your German shepherd dog is knowing how to feed him.
The quantity and quality of food you give your dog will have a big impact in his health, happiness and performance.
(Just like it has on humans!).
First off, let me say that the commercial food currently promoted on ads and magazines is NOT the best way to
feed your German Shepherd. Why? Because this is heavily processed food that can hardly be called natural. A lot of
chemicals are used in making this dog food. What I recommend is giving your dog natural food, and it is better if
it is homemade dog food, you can find many sites giving you great and easy recipes online.

Many dog owners avoid making food for their dogs, thinking it is too much work, or fooled by the claims of ads.
However, cooking your dog’s food really pays off, your dog will live longer and healthier. And that’s what you want
right?
When learning about German shepherd feeding, you need to take into account the weight standards for this
particular breed: on males, 80 to 85 lbs; on females, 65 to 70 lbs. Besides the food needed by a German shepherd,
there is also some Vitamin and mineral needs, including – in vitamins: Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin B, Vitamin D,
Vitamin E, Niacinamide , Biotin, Folic Acid, D-Calcium, Pantothenate and Para Amino Benzoic Acid
And in minerals: Calcium Bone Meal, Iodine Sea Kelp, Zinc, Phosphorus Bone Meal, Copper Glutonate, Iron Ferrous
Fumerate, Manganese, Magnesium and Potassium.

If you are still unsure about the nutritional needs of your dog and the good types of food to give him, you
should visit a veterinary who will point you the right food for your dog, you can also find online guides that
cover in detail this aspect and German shepherd agility
